Keeping more parents and grandparents in the stands
Heart disease and diabetes often develop quietly for years before anyone feels a thing, and the standard yearly checkup doesn't always catch them early. The right tests exist and are easy to ask for. You just have to know what to ask.
Our mission
Why the fund exists
The Rob MacMillan Memorial Fund, Inc was established in 2024 to honor Rob's legacy by expanding opportunities for young athletes in our local baseball and softball communities. Rob believed deeply in mentorship, teamwork, and ensuring every child who wanted to play had the chance to do so, regardless of financial circumstances. Funds raised will be used to reflect Rob's passion and dedication in providing opportunities for young people to participate in the sport he loved.

What the money has done
Because of the generosity of the last two years' sponsors and participants, the fund has directly supported local families and schools by providing:
A 2026 Little League registration for a young athlete
Two $1,000 baseball scholarships
Rutherford High School
Two $1,000 softball scholarships

Who it honors
Rob "Iggy" MacMillan
1960 to 2024. Roseland, West Essex, Ramapo, and Rutherford. For more than a decade he ran the fundraising for Rutherford Babe Ruth, work that paid for the batting cages at Memorial Field and for the league fees of kids whose families could not cover them.
